Who We Are

The Throw! Collective is comprised of people interested in poetry and performance. Some of us have defined roles, others contribute in many, myriad ways. Lend us a helping hand if you want to contribute to our collective and to the scene at large. Want to get involved and volunteer with us? Email throwpoetrycollective@gmail.com!

Halogen wrote all the things! She helped formalize our documentation.
Rabbit Richards kept time, and the Collective, in order. She was also involved in bringing in our features since she is the coolest one around (and knows all the cool people, apparently).
Alexander Tkachuk (or, Alex the Lesser; or, Oscar Milde; or, Block of Cheese, depending on how he is feeling that morning) was everyone’s partner-in-crime.
Riley Palanca was our polyglot host. Always endearing us with graze and poise, no one has learned more about language than from Riley.
Megan Huff made it work (and Violet too). If they were peas in a pod, it would be more magical than Jack’s beanstalk.
Violet Lapointe was in charge of doing her best. God, I wish we could pay her.
Xander was the local cryptid, poet, interdisciplinary artist, and disabled disaster queer behind much of the Throw Poetry Collective’s social media… they were also on Throw’s 2019 CFSW team!
Liana Cusmano is pure amazing. What more could anyone want? You mean you don’t know BiCurious George?
Mottel Z. was our videographer and internet wizard. He managed our YouTube page and posts your performances online for the world to see (with your express consent, of course)!
Simon Banderob was our cultural ambassador. No one is sure what that entails but he did a great job!
Nguyen Dinh was our local import from Saskatoon. We had stolen this amazing poet and person from their scene and he was all ours! (cue evil poet laugh à la Old Bull Lee).
Fisher King was our web dev Diaghilev (but he’s definitely not Russian).
Anomaly was a key pillar of our collective. She kept the spirit alive and the poetry grounded.
